A fairy tale, certainly!
In our warm and stimulating environment, we nurture independence, creativity and consideration in our growing children. Entering each day through the barn doors, the children step into our magical setting, separated by sliding doors from farm life. Here, in this idyllic atmosphere, they discover and learn hands on as we incorporate science, language arts, and math skills into activities like gardening, art, cooking/baking and animal care. Under the nurturing care of one teacher and one assistant, we are able to give individual support with only twelve students per class. We believe in encouraging different learning styles and interests, and inspire our students to be curious, self-motivated and enthusiastic participants in their education. Through our unique and nurturing educational program of animal connection, children are taught responsibility, compassion and patience. They learn about colors, shapes, letters and different habitats as we work in our flower and vegetable gardens, pick apples and feed and care for our farm animals. In our art studio, we encourage the expression of feelings and emotions and recognize the importance of art in shaping and growing children's minds. Through our green curriculum, we teach the importance of saving energy, recycling and composting, and we introduce healthy eating habits in our country kitchen. Our Eco-friendly barn is ahead of the curve receiving electricity from solar panels. A vital part of our philosophy is “paying it forward" and for each student enrolled, we sponsor another child to go to school in Thailand through our charity organization, Mari's Children. |
