A Multi-Cultural Journey through a Farm Based Curriculum!
Children connect with the environment and learn the importance of sustainability while participating in our composting and recycling program. Each day they feed left overs to our chickens while eggs are brought back to our kitchen. In the kitchen we use math and fine motor skills while baking a healthy, organic treat. In the spring, compost goes into our garden, seeds are planted, we tend and nurture then look forward to harvest time. A multi-cultural curriculum allows for discovery and exploration. By learning from different cultures, students develop their individual and global awareness and build essential lifelong tolerance and acceptance skills. |
