AnnMarie Regan, Lead Teacher
AnnMarie Regan, mother of Mikayla and teacher of 25 years is certified in Nursery through 6th grade, with a MS in Literacy Education K-12 and an English major as well. AnnMarie has taught both Kindergarten and Pre-School. For several years she worked at a Nursery School preparing the children for kindergarten. They worked on letter, number, shape, and color recognition. Children also developed both gross and fine motor skills during movement and writing activities. Children left AnnMarie’s classroom confident with their academic and social skills for kindergarten. AnnMarie has also taught kindergarten preparing children for first grade using a balanced literacy approach which included phonemic awareness and whole language. Children learned how to add and subtract with numeric awareness by using manipulatives.
AnnMarie has received many compliments from local districts on how well prepared her students have been to forge ahead in their elementary years with great success. Young children are the light of our future and it is a wonderful experience being part of The Green School to help bring that forward in our students in such a warm, hands on experiential way. Your child will learn gentleness through caring for and playing with our animals. Each child will gain respect for the world around them in a loving warm farm atmosphere. It is such a pleasure to be a part of The Green School and its philosophy.
A strong piece of who we are is linking our programs to charity. All along we have been active in giving back and participating in our community. In 2005, our own charity, Mari’s Children was founded. Today, it continues to grow and help children around the world.

Julia Malmsten - Assistant Director/Animal Educator
My name is Julia Malmsten, I'm 23 years old and from Gothenburg, Sweden. I came to New York 4 years ago to explore a new place and I have stayed since!
I am a senior working on my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & Communications. I have spent time at The Green School since day one in New York four years ago and I have loved every second of it!
When I am not studying or spending time on the farm I love traveling. Every year I go to Cape Town, South Africa where I run a non-profit organization supporting an orphanage with school tuition. I also love surfing and therefore, I travel to Costa Rica every year which I call is the surf-paradise! With the owner and founder of The Green School being Swedish and the school is partially inspired by the country, it has always felt like home being there!

Tatiana Pulla - Assistant Teacher
My name is Tatiana Pulla, and I've been a local of Southampton for 20 years. I was born in Ecuador, where I lived for my first 7 years of life. In Ecuador, farming and livestock were my family's main resource. I grew up with cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, dogs, cats, ducks, and even guinea pigs! Growing up without any technology, my days were spent outside in the rain or shine, playing in rivers, making mud houses, and picking in-season fruit from trees. Anything that we could reused was, and there was very little waste. My childhood upbringing has impacted my life up to this day. I jump at any opportunity to hike, camp, and explore state parks. I have raised 19 chickens for their fresh eggs in my backyard and I would love to own a cow someday.
I am 27 years old, a recent graduate from MBI in Chicago with a Bachelor’s in Youth Ministry and I have 4 years of nanny experience which I loved. During my time with a 1 and 3 year old, I found my hidden gift of engaging preschool aged kids in what I loved to do: crafting and the outdoors!

Megan Elizabeth - Assistant Teacher
Hi, my name is Megan Cunningham I am 27 years old.
I am extremely excited to join The Green School team as an assistant teacher. I have been a preschool Teacher Assistant for 7 years and the first time I stepped into a classroom I knew, in that moment, I could not picture my career taking me anywhere else then alongside children. Being afforded the opportunity to watch and be a part of my students’ growth and accomplishments has been so rewarding. However, I am most humbled by how much my students have taught me through the years and what growth they have spawned in me.
As the walls of the classroom are less defined in environmental educational learning, we will interact with nature and the world around us while developing and further refining skills, wellness, and awareness. I am hopeful each of my student’s days are effortlessly and enthusiastically filled with learning, laughter, and memories. I am looking forward to working with and learning alongside your children in our community!

Brooke - Event coordinator
Hello, my name is Brooke Monfort and grew up on the East End of Long Island. I have been part of the Green School Team since 2018. I started working with the school as the Weekend Programming and Extracurricular Coordinator. I worked in Medical Administration specializing in patient advocacy. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and feel that protecting and sustaining our environment is extremely important. I love the philosophy of educating children with an emphasis on natural living and exploring their environment. As a child, my favorite thing to do was adventure through the woods and dig in my neighbor's garden. It is an honor to be a part of an education system that shares this experience with children and allows them to flourish as individuals.
