The Green school gives back
Sponsor a child in Chiang Mai, Thailand
The devastating Tsunami in 2005 prompted Mari to travel to Thailand and Sri Lanka to see what she could do to help. It was Christiane Amanpour, who at the time was a CNN correspondent covering the Tsunami that connected Mari with a grass roots nonprofit that was bringing aid to the area. Mari heard another calling, and in 2006 she started Mari’s Children and raised funds to renovate a school in Sri Lanka. Since 2006 Mari’s Children has sponsored children in Thailand with funds to attend school. Each child that attends the Green School sends one child to school in Thailand. Play for Charity: Drop off your child to play and visit with our animals. Our staff will watch the children while they play on our playground, visit our animals and occasionally groom a horse or snuggle with the bunnies. Proceeds go to our charity, Mari's Children, providing local families with tuition assistance towards preschool tuition.
