A Multi-Cultural Journey!
Taking advantage of a special connection between children and animals, The Green School children learn through hands-on exploration about the world around them. Experiencing a sustainable curriculum through integrated lessons, children develop key life skills that include kindness to our planet and all living things. While feeding and caring for the animals, students create bonds and gain independence. Our ‘outdoor classroom’ proves to be a key element in The Green School’s philosophy of learning through discovery. We inspire our students to be curious, self-motivated, and enthusiastic participants in their education, offering a foundation for a love of life-long learning. Through our multi cultural journey around the world, children are exposed to various languages, cuisine, art and literature. Tolerance, acceptance and kindness are key principles of our philosophy explored through our international travels. The tenet of our philosophy is to encourage children to grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. In our warm, idyllic and stimulating environment, our little students become self-reliant and develop a strong-self image. We believe in exploring each child’s different learning styles and interests. We encourage the expression of feelings and emotions through art and believe in the importance of art in shaping and growing children’s minds. Nothing goes to waste in the kitchen as students compost and recycle, each item is incorporated into a project or learning opportunity and reinforces our eco-friendly programming. Healthy eating, organic gardens and farm-to-table make up our A-B-C's. |
