About our Instructors

Josephine Barrerat, Animal Educator and Riding Instructor

Josephine has over 15 years of riding experience. Josephine has been riding from a young age and is passionate about teaching children about horses and all of our farm animals. Josephine is the current animal educator and riding instructor at The Green School and The Art Farm. Josephine enjoys watching the bond grow between children and animals and brings patience and a wealth of information to all young animal lovers who visit our farm.

Danielle Barrett, Animal Educator and Riding Instructor

Danielle has over 20 years of riding and horsemanship experience. As a child, she learned to ride and care for horses on her aunt's farm and went on to work and show with several other riding facilitites in the Hamptons. She spent many years both teaching children to ride and helping to train young and rescued horses so that they could find homes. She worked with several trainers, farriers and veterinarians over the years as she loves learning about animal health, behavior and training. She has also volunteered a great deal of time to horse and other animal rescue organizations. Danielle has been an animal educator and riding instructor at The Arm Farm and The Green School for several years. She enjoys teaching children how to handle and communicate with horses and other animals safely, compassionately and effectively, and loves to see the bonds that develop between them.
