AFTER SCHOOL

Part-time Farmer: Imagine being able to say “Yes” when your child asks if she can have her very own pony ... well, now you can! Your child can be a part-time farmer with his “own” animal -- but the animals get to stay together on the farm with their furry friends. One animal care class to teach your child how to care for his or her animal is included with this program. You and your child can spend time on our farm during our visiting hours.

This program makes a perfect gift for birthdays and holidays. Ask about our gift crate, which includes an Art Farm T Shirt, a certificate for an animal care class and a stuffed animal representing the animal you choose.

Included in this gift:

1 Complimentary Animal Care Lesson

Discounted Fee for our pony camps and riding lessons

Free admission to our petting farm weekends

Visiting Hours:

Monday to Friday 3-6pm

Saturdays 9-5pm

Sundays 9-5pm

A portion of the proceeds goes to local animal rescue centers.

Join us on the farm for fun filled & educational  after school activities for Pre-K through 4th grade children.

Farmer’s Helper:
Love animals and the great outdoors? Come explore The Green School’s eco-friendly farm located on five acres for a true animal care experience. Learn from our animal educator how to care for animals big and small: horses, pigs, chickens, goats and much, much, more. This planet friendly program exposes young children to early stewardship skills as they learn that nothing goes to waste on the farm.  Our educational experiences emphasize and encourage children to take an active role in caring for mother earth and all her inhabitants. Themes explored include: caring for living things, the food chain, the four R’s: Recycle, Reuse, Reduce and Repurpose, and our impact on the environment.  These environment-based curriculums provide participants opportunities to make connections with the world they inhabit. While cultivating environmental stewards we aim to address an international movement to reconnect kids with nature and conquer what Richard Louv terms nature-deficit disorder. Let’s get outside after school!
